the zoo

You were probably asked the inevitable What did you do this weekend? today, right? I wasn't, only because I was asleep both times we left the house and my mother was with me all weekend so what would be the point of her asking me. So, let me tell you, so I can get it out of my system.

My parents try to plan some kind of excursion each weekend, not for my sake, but theirs. Not to say that I don't enjoy new scenery and try to take it all in, but, really, I am easy to please. The park, again, is fine with me. But I am not able to properly convey this to them with my repertoire of coos, smiles and cries so off we went. This weekend it was the zoo!

Here we are, tailgating, before going in to see the lions play the bears.

If you must know, this is a zebra.

Here I am, taking a protest nap.
You see, I feel for the animals being gawked at all day..."awww so cute, oooooh so big, ooooh, he has a lot of hair." So I decided I wasn't going to participate in these activities as a kind of "Golden Rule" protest. I don't want folks gawking at me, so I didn't gawk at the animals. I also couldn't see because too many people were out of their strollers, blocking my view.

This is a baby tapir.

I woke up because I got hungry.

Here I am, downing some breast milk.
My mother said she felt in tune with the other mammals at the zoo, feeding me here.

I guess my dad is getting jealous lately because he continues to try to feed me too!

Here, a falcon is impersonating a man.

Most of the time I found my mom and dad more fun to look at! They are currently my favorite animals and my favorite zoo is the one I like to call home!
